“The legislation is the result of too many young kids getting injured and being seriously injured when using ebikes, especially in San Mateo County,” said Papan.
A bill authored by Assemblymember Diane Papan (D-San Mateo) that would let San Mateo County jurisdictions restrict children under 12 from riding Class 1 and Class 2 e-bikes is headed to Gov. Newsom's desk.
