SACRAMENTO – The California State Assembly has unanimously passed Assembly Concurrent Resolution 151 recognizing March 25, 2026, as Greek Independence Day throughout the state. This resolution, authored by Assemblymember Diane Papan, commemorates the 205th anniversary of Greece’s rebellion against Ottoman rule and celebrates the enduring principles of democracy and freedom shared between Greece and the United States.
